Auto Skip not working for a new show — searching manually

Automatic intro/outro skip sometimes doesn't work right away for a newly added show, because the app hasn't yet been able to automatically match that title with the external database that tracks skip timestamps.

Why automatic matching can fail

The automatic search uses the title name as it appears in your playlist. If that name contains extra characters (for example a language tag or group name your provider prepended), the exact match can fail, while a manual search on the clean title does succeed.

Linking it manually

A good IPTV player offers a manual search alongside automatic recognition: type in the correct show name, pick the right match from the results, and the link is then remembered for all episodes of that show.

A one-time issue, not a recurring one

Once a show is linked (automatically or manually), Auto Skip works normally for all episodes afterward — so this is typically a one-time step per new show, not something that keeps coming back.
