Automatically skipping intros and outros in TV shows

Automatic intro/outro skip in an IPTV player recognizes a show's opening and end credits and shows a skip button, or jumps ahead automatically to the actual story or the next episode.

How recognition works

The app looks up the show/episode in an external database that tracks exact intro and outro timestamps per title. On a match, a skip button appears during playback at the right moment.

Skipping the outro: to the next episode, or just skipping

If there's still enough video left after the outro (more than a few seconds), the app only skips the outro itself and keeps playing the rest normally. If the outro really does run to the end of the episode, the app goes straight to the next episode — so you never see a few seconds of unusable leftover footage.
