Grouping and organizing channels in an IPTV player

Channel groups in an IPTV player organize hundreds of individual channels into clear categories, usually supplied by your provider (for example by country, genre, or quality).

Where groups come from

The grouping is already part of your provider's playlist data (M3U groups or Xtream categories) — an IPTV player displays that structure, it doesn't invent it itself.

Groups that aren't organized logically

If your provider uses a messy or unclear grouping, that's on the provider's side — it's not something the player itself can restructure without changing the underlying data. Combine grouping with setting favorite channels to bring your own order to it.

Searching channels within a group

Besides grouping, you can usually also search directly by channel name, which is faster than manually scrolling through a long group when you know exactly what you're looking for.
