Notifications for new episodes of your shows

New-episode notifications let an IPTV player automatically alert you as soon as a new episode is available for a show you're already following.

Which shows get notifications

Typically shows where you already have watch history/progress (see continue watching) — the app then assumes you're actively following that show.

How new episodes are detected

The app periodically checks whether your playlist provider has added new episodes to a show you're already watching, and shows a notification when that's the case.

No notification even though there's a new episode

This can happen if your provider hadn't yet published the new episode in the playlist data at the moment the check ran — a manual check inside the show itself will still show the new episode, even without a notification.
