What's a TV ID / device key, and where do you find it

A TV ID (also called a device key) is a unique code your IPTV player displays on screen, which you use to link that specific TV to your account on the provider's website.

Why you need this code

A TV remote is awkward for typing an email address or password. Instead, the app shows a short code; you enter that on a page you open on your phone or laptop, and that links the device without you having to type anything on the TV itself.

Where to find the code

The TV code is shown on the app's home screen, usually right after startup, before you're logged in. In Bear IPTV you see it right after installation.

What if the code has expired

A TV code is often only valid temporarily for security reasons. If linking doesn't work, reopen the app or navigate back to the home screen to generate a new code.

Is this the same as my Xtream credentials?

No — the TV code links the app to your account with the IPTV player. You add your Xtream or M3U details separately afterwards within that account, and those are the credentials for your actual playlist provider. See adding Xtream Codes for that step.
