Difference between an IPTV provider and an IPTV player

An IPTV provider supplies the playlist/subscription with channels and content; an IPTV player is the app you use to play that playlist. They're two separate parties with different roles.

The IPTV provider

Supplies an M3U link or Xtream credentials, and is responsible for which channels/movies/shows are actually available, and whether the streams keep working stably.

The IPTV player

Is the app on your TV or device that plays that playlist, with features built around it like a TV guide, subtitles, continue watching and automatic intro/outro skip. An IPTV player doesn't supply content itself — it only plays what the provider delivers.

Why this distinction matters

Issues with a specific channel, a missing title, or a stream that doesn't work are on the provider side — no player can fix that. Issues with things like subtitles, the TV guide display, or app stability are on the player side.

Bear IPTV is a player, not a provider

Bear IPTV doesn't supply its own channels or subscription — it's the app you use to play your own M3U or Xtream playlist, from whichever provider you use.
