Video buffering or stuck loading in your IPTV player — how to fix it

Buffering and a loading screen that stays on longer than the picture actually takes to load are two separate problems that often get mixed up. Here's the distinction, and the most common causes of each.

The picture is genuinely loading slowly (buffering)

This is almost always about the connection between your network and your IPTV provider's server, not the player itself:

• Wi-Fi instead of a cable — a wired connection to the TV/box is more stable than Wi-Fi, especially for 4K streams or multiple devices on the same network.
• Provider capacity at peak times — in the evening, when most people are watching, an IPTV provider can get temporarily overloaded. This shows up as buffering that isn't there during the day.
• Too many simultaneous connections on one account — some providers limit bandwidth per account when there are multiple active streams at once.

The picture is already playing, but the loading screen stays on

This is a different problem: you can sometimes already hear the audio playing, but the player's loading indicator doesn't disappear right away. This isn't real buffering anymore, but a delay in how quickly the player itself realizes the stream is actually playing — especially on Android devices, which sometimes switch to a different playback method (native decoder) if the first attempt fails, which can create a brief overlap between "audio is already playing" and "loading screen still visible". Make sure you're on the latest version of your IPTV player; these kinds of transitions keep getting handled more tightly.

Quick checklist

1. Test the same stream on a different device/app — does it buffer there too? Then it's the provider, not your IPTV player.
2. Close other devices streaming at the same time on the same network.
3. Use an ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi if possible.
4. Try a different time of day — if it only happens in the evening, that strongly points to provider capacity.
